Hyundai announces i30 Fastback N Line with sporty tech
ABU DHABI: Hyundai brings something special here with the announcement of the i30 Fastback N Line. This announcement has followed the i30 Fastback N introduction and is the second car after i30 five-door hatchback to get the N Line treatment.
There are quite a few changes in this Hyundai i30 Fastback N Line, which sees the inclusion of a mesh design on the cascading grille and silver character lines given on the bumper. At the rear, the bumper seems to be the same as the Fastback N and has a reflector line, special diffuser, and triangle-shaped foglamps. In order to be distinguished from the standard, there is the ‘N Line’ badging given at the front fender.
There are some technical upgrades over the i30 Fastback N too. The suspension has been tuned in for better feedback while the throttle response from the engine and the exhaust note has also been improved. The 18-inch wheels now get Michelin PS4 tyres just to complement the powerful N Line treatment. However, the smaller 1.0-litre T-GDI engine also gets the same N Line additions but with smaller 17-inch wheels.
Inside the cabin of this new Hyundai i30 Fastback N Line would be a sports steering, N gear knob, and the N-brand seats. The pedals lower down are made of metal.
Mechanically, the 1.4-litre T-GDI engine makes 140 PS of power while the smaller 1.0-litre motor makes lesser 120 PS.
However, if you are confused about the whole new setup, here is a simple way to understand it. The Hyundai N trims are the equivalent for BMW’s M while the N Line is what the German company calls M Sports. Similarly, the N Option is like the M Performance parts.
