Honda unveils Modulo kit for CR-V

ABU DHABI: Found the Honda cars and SUVs a bit too clinical in looks? Honda always provided the buyers with an accessory package called the “Modulo” kit to make its cars much sportier than their factory variant.

So far, Honda has provided Modulo kits for almost all of its vehicles in the past, however, the current generation Honda CR-V missed this optional offering. However, the wait seems to have got over, as Honda has previewed the Modulo kit for the CR-V in its home market, Japan. Just like for other cars from Honda, the Modulo kit for CR-V too is limited purely to cosmetic treatment and consists of optional accessories which tend to make the CR-V look jazzier.

On the outside, this kit includes heavy front, side and rear body colored skirtings with chrome strips on the side skirts to make it look sporty and elegant at the same time. The side skirts also appear thicker thanks to additional black cladding on them, while you can also avail nicely styled side steps too. At the same time, the front and rear skirts get bigger faux skid plates to add to the rugged appeal.

Also, the design for the black alloy wheels is new here. Rounding off the list of exterior upgrades are the roof mounted body-colored spoiler as well as larger and more functional roof rails.

The Modulo kit for the CR-V has some more substantial upgrades for the interiors as well. One does get Modulo branded floor mats, remote starter, illuminated door sill plates for all four doors and last, but definitely not the least, special Alcantara seats.

Considering the fact that the UAE is one of the biggest markets for Honda worldwide, it is no wonder that the CR-V will get this kit here too, after one whole year since its launch here.
