ABU DHABI: Ford plans to revive the Capri nameplate with the debut of a new electric SUV. The reinvented model will depart from its predecessor’s classic two-door design for a sporty SUV.

For better aerodynamic efficiency, the reinvented Capri will have different exterior designs from the classic 70s and 80s vehicles. However, Ford will pay homage to the iconic Capri by integrating a few exterior elements, like quad circular headlights into LED running lights.
Ford has not disclosed the pricing details of the new Capri, but it is expected that its starting price will be slightly above the Explorer.
