Faster than the Sport, Bugatti Chiron Divo to be a limited edition
ABU DHABI: There’s a lot been said about the new Bugatti Chiron Divo. Bugatti is said to be working on this new Divo project for a while now. From unnamed sources, it has been revealed that the Divo would have drastic cosmetic updates over its current Sport version and it would come with an array of other significant upgrades. The findings come out post the private events held in the US.
The upcoming hypercar from the stable of Bugatti is said to have a racing-derived gearbox that would play a vital role in the acceleration of the car. It is believed that the new Divo will be at least 2.5 seconds quicker than the regular car in clocking 100 kmph from zero. Additionally, it will touch the 200 kmph mark in just 6.5 seconds. The top speed sits at 385 kmph which is down from the Chiron Sport’s 420 kmph by some margin.
Not just the gearbox, the company is up for bigger things this time around, as revealed by the sources. A racetrack Divo is also on the cards as Bugatti turns all its attention to prepare a track-oriented car. Also, the Divo is said to be the lightest model produced by the company to date.
According to the sources, the Divo will be a limited edition model with only 100 units to be sold globally. However, if it’ll be a part of Chiron’s run of 500 or not, is still unknown. For it, we’ll have to wait for sometime.
The new Bugatti Chiron Divo is said to sport a price double that of the standard Chiron Sport, which retails at $3.1 million (or AED 11.38 million). This means that the expected price of the Divo would be around $5.85 million (or AED 21.48 million).
