EVIS 2025 Closes in Abu Dhabi After Unveiling the Future of Electric Mobility

Abu Dhabi : Abu Dhabi hosts the region’s biggest EV event, highlighting electric innovations, new vehicle launches, smart city ideas, and government strategies to push clean transport forward.  

• Over 200 exhibitors from 30+ countries displayed futuristic EV technology.
• Big launches from Tesla, BYD, Lucid, Dongfeng, and Rimac.
• UAE announced major EV charging and recycling projects.
• EVIS Awards 2025 honoured top innovators and research projects.

The fourth edition of the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) 2025 ended after three exciting days at the ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi. 

Held from April 21 to 23, the event cemented Abu Dhabi’s role as a major clean mobility hub in the region. Thousands of visitors explored the latest advances in electric vehicles, smart infrastructure, robotics, and green energy solutions across a buzzing exhibition floor.

Innovation and Future Products Showcased

EVIS 2025 welcomed more than 200 exhibitors from over 30 countries, setting a new standard for electric mobility shows in the Middle East and North Africa. The highlights included:

• XPeng’s X2 Air Taxi: An autonomous flying vehicle that amazed visitors.
• Autogo’s RoboTaxi: A driverless ride service by Abu Dhabi’s Kintsugi Holding.
• Medasia Marine’s E-Clipse Solar Boats: Solar-powered cruising options.
• Iskraemeco’s EV Charging Ecosystem: Smart and scalable EV charging solutions.
• Tesla’s Optimus Gen 2 Robot: Debuted with better mobility and task performance.

New EV Models and Launches

The summit also became a launchpad for many new electric vehicles. Dongfeng debuted the 007 mid-size electric SUV, boasting over 500 km range and quick charging abilities. Lucid Motors revealed the luxurious Gravity SUV, while Tesla showcased updated versions of the Cybertruck and Model Y.

BYD presented the family-friendly Seal U crossover, and VinFast introduced the VF9 for affordable long-range driving. Rimac’s Nevera hypercar stunned with record-breaking speed and engineering.

Strategy, Policy Talks, and Future Plans

The event featured more than 50 expert-led sessions discussing EV adoption, autonomous driving, and sustainable city strategies. Ministers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt shared detailed roadmaps to boost EV infrastructure and incentives. 

Craig Stevens, CEO, joined a panel called “From Better Mileage to Miles of Transformation: Meeting the Demands of the Modern Customer,” stressing how car brands must adapt to the modern tech-focused, eco-aware buyer.

Interactive Zones and Live Demos

Visitors experienced future mobility first-hand at the Outdoor Test Drive Zone, where they tested the latest EVs from global and local brands. Indoors, the E-Circuit Zone allowed guests to interact with electric motors, batteries, and power electronics in live demonstrations, bringing the tech behind EVs closer to the public.

EVIS 2025 Awards and Key Announcements

The EVIS Awards 2025 celebrated achievements across eight categories. VoltEdge Tech from Singapore won Best Startup Innovation for its AI charging network, while the University of Sharjah was awarded Best Academic Research Project for its work on solid-state batteries. 

Major announcements included the launch of the UAEV Network, plans for a battery recycling facility in Al Ain, and a hydrogen-electric hybrid partnership led by ADNOC.
