Dubai Police to include Tesla Cybertruck in its fleet
Known for its extravagant collection of patrol cars, Dubai Police is set to include another robust machine in its fleet in the form of Tesla Cybertruck. Unveiled recently in the month of November, the Cybertruck is an all-electric sixth offering from Tesla, production of which is slated to begin in late 2020.
Dubai Police posted an image on Twitter with a caption “#CyberTruck Dubai Police - 2020” indicating and confirming that the new Tesla Cybertruck will be a part of its patrol car fleet. The Cybertruck is on offer in three different variants, the single motor RWD with over 402 km of travel range, the dual-motor AWD with over 482 km of range and the tri-motor AWD with more than 804 km.
Talking about the structure, the Cybertruck is made up of an ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless-steel with armoured glass windows. Though the glasses were broken at the premiere during its strength showcase. Inside, it gets a 17-inch touchscreen and accommodation capacity of up to six occupants.
Tesla Cybertruck’s price starts from $ 39,900 (AED 146,560) to $ 69,900 (AED 256,756). For the self-driving option, customers need to shell out a premium of $7,000. According to the company, more than 2.5 lakh orders have already been received for the electric-pick-up. Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO, claimed that the Cybertruck is better than the Ford F-150 and quicker than the Porsche 911.
Dubai Police’s patrol fleet includes the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador, Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S, Aston Martin One-77, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF and the Bentley Continental GT.
