Dodge Charger Hellcat to get updated for 2019; first teaser released
KUALA LUMPUR: The Dodge SRT had officially released the first teaser image of the 2019 Challenger Hellcat last week. This new iteration of the car is much like a retro-inspired one that is exhibited from the front fascia and is a perfect car to pay tribute to the muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s.
However, the good news is that Dodge SRT is even working on the 2019 Charger Hellcat and has released the first teaser image too. Of course, the Charger Hellcat will be for the people who prefer the four-door trim version.
The 2019 Charger Hellcat gets a new front fascia, which is the mainly because of the new grille air intakes. The company has chosen the large air intakes design so that the car could suck in more air to keep the supercharger well cooled. Apart from this, the grille also leaves behind the mesh design and adopts the honeycomb-like shape painted in glossy black. The headlamps have also been given a new shape and we can expect the front and rear bumpers to see the change as well, thereby making it more aggressive.
Also, the 2019 Challenger and Charger Hellcat cars are expected to get a bump in its engine power as well. The 6.2-litre supercharged, V8 engine could be capable of making more power. From the present 707 PS, the cars may see a rise in power figure up to 725 PS, along with some other technological additions like the TransBrake and Air-Chiller. It might even ride on wider tires from Nitto.
Having said all of these, it is important to note that the teaser image does not reveal a lot about the 2019 Charger and Challenger Hellcat muscle cars. More of the detailed information may be released in the coming months.
