Check out Nissan’s ‘Ultimate Dream Garage’
ABU DHABI: With a few weeks to go before the New York Auto Show starts, manufacturers are already teasing onlookers as to what they should expect. Nissan has done just that with a poster of their ‘The Ultimate Dream Garage’. The words on the poster read “Come experience a garage 50 years in the making – the Nissan Dream Garage at the 2019 New York International Auto Show.”
The image consists of 8 cars. The top row of 4 cars is clearly visible while the bottom row is somewhat darker. Starting from the top left we have the original Fairlady Z (240Z in North America), an R34 Skyline GT-R wearing the legendary Calsonic livery, a green-yellow C110 Kenmeri GT-R race car and lastly the gorgeous R34 NISMO GT-R LM road car.
Shifting focus to the bottom row, the cars seem to compliment the upper row ones. We can see a 370Z (possibly the 50th Anniversary Special Edition), R35 GT-R in the same Calsonic Blue as the car above it, next is the GT-R50 and lastly, we have the GT-R Nismo (possibly the 50th anniversary Special Edition).
The GT-R50 by Italdesign is possibly the most expensive car of the lot. Nissan has confirmed that it will make only 50 units with prices starting at Euro 990,000 (AED 4,078,100 approx). Deliveries are expected to begin this year and continue into 2020. Meanwhile, the 370Z and GT-R are some of the oldest cars by Nissan, released way back in 2007/8. Even though these models have been updated over the years (cosmetically and mechanically), we wonder if there will be successors anytime soon. It does not seem like it, unfortunately. With the New York auto show set to start on April 19, all details about the Nissan ‘Ultimate Dream Garage’ will be revealed. Will there be any surprises by Nissan? Let’s wait and watch.
