Bugatti bids farewell to Chiron with stunning L’Ultime

ABU DHABI: Bugatti's journey with the Chiron has come to an end with the unveiling of the 500th and final unit of its second modern-day hypercar, named the Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime. This special edition model marks the end of an eight-year production run.

The final Bugatti Chiron, the L’Ultime, pays tribute to the first one by mirroring its paint scheme, featuring French Racing Blue and Atlantic Blue colours. Along the side panels are handwritten names of significant places in the history of the Chiron. "500" is engraved on the engine cover and painted beneath the rear spoiler, commemorating its 500th model status.

The final Chiron is equipped with an 8.0-litre W-16 engine, producing 1,578 horsepower and 1,180 ft-lbs of torque. It takes just 2.3 seconds to accelerate from zero to 60 mph and has a 273 mph electronically limited top speed.

The L’Ultime has a luxurious interior with Deep Blue leather upholstery and blue-tinted carbon-fibre trim. The headrests and centre console are adorned with "500" badging.

While Bugatti hasn't revealed anything about the final Chiron owner’s identity, it is being speculated that they are from the U.S. The exact purchase price has not been disclosed, but considering the status of the Chiron as one of the most expensive cars in the world, there are chances that it will exceed the starting price of the Super Sport.

With the L’Ultime’s unveiling, anticipation builds for the arrival of the Chiron's successor, equipped with a new V16 hybrid engine. It is expected to debut next month, and true Bugatti fans are eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the lineage of hypercars produced by Bugatti.
