Bentley reveals new Continental GT and GTC models
ABU DHABI: After teasing the sound of its new V8 engine, Bentley has unveiled the latest iterations of its iconic Continental lineup, introducing the new Continental GT and GTC. Both models have evolved significantly from their predecessors and are built on the MSB platform. Despite this continuity, they are positioned as fourth-generation models.

Inside, the new Bentley Continental GT is adorned with high-quality finishes like piano black and chrome surfaces and features the signature triple-rotating center panel. New additions include integrated apps like Spotify, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and an ADAS package. It is a 2+2 seater with seats featuring 'Speed' variant embroidery. Customization options for trim materials include vibrant colors like green and orange.
The biggest change in the new Continental GT is the introduction of a plug-in hybrid V8, replacing the long-lived W12 engine. The 4.0-litre V8 produces around 600 hp and 800 Nm, with the integrated electric motor adding around 190 hp and 450 Nm. This results in a combined output of 782 hp, which is 100 hp more than the W12. The torque increases up to 1,000 Nm, managed by active torque vectoring and an 8-speed automatic gearbox via the axle brakes and center differential.
With a top speed of 335 kmph and a 0-100 kmph time of 3.2 seconds, the new Continental GT offers supercar-like performance. It also features a pure EV mode that can reach speeds up to 160 kmph and offers an 80 km electric range. Massive 380 mm rear and 420 mm front discs handle the braking, supported by twin-valve dampers and air springs.
Bentley has not yet revealed the debut date for the new Continental GTC and GT models in the UAE.
