All-New Rolls-Royce Phantom makes global debut
ABU DHABI: Rolls-Royce is a name that’s synonymous with luxury, class, and status. And the UAE is a place full of buyers who look for such attributes in their car. Good news for all such prospective buyers in the country, Rolls-Royce brings a new dream car that looks all exquisite and exclusive. We are talking about the 2018 Bangkok International Motor Show debutant - the all-new Rolls-Royce Phantom. This new epitome of luxury features company’s new evolutionary design language resulting in an elegant exterior and equally lavish interior.
The more one observes the eighth-generation Phantom, the more it lured the onlookers towards it. Starting up front, the 2018 Phantom features a hand polished stainless steel caged grille that’s more than enough to make a statement. Adding to its sophisticated look are present new boxy LED headlamps, solid shoulder lines, chrome window casing, and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear looks similar to the one featured in old Phantoms built during the 50s and 60s.
Rolls-Royce claims that once the passengers are seated inside, they’ll experience complete seclusion from the rest of the world. Making this possible are the sound insulation glass and silent mechanical operations that result in noise, vibration, and harshness cancellation. Increasing the car’s aesthetic appeal are present fine leather upholstery and intricate wood trim. However, staying true to the Rolls-Royce extensive customisation offerings, buyers will be able to fashion their Phantom VIII in the choice of wood, leather, and fine materials.
The new Phantom offers a bulk of standard amenities like four camera system with Night Vision, self-closing rear doors, 360-degree around view system, Night Vision with Vision Assist, latest navigation, and entertainment unit, Wi-Fi hotspot, and active cruise control.
Sitting under the Phantom's all-aluminum ‘Architecture of Luxury’ platform is a 6.75-litre twin turbo V12 engine. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission this mill generates a maximum power output of 570 PS along with a peak torque of 900 Nm. This new Rolls-Royce offering can sprint from zero to naught is 5.3 seconds.
Rolls-Royce is expected to bring the new Phantom to the UAE market soon. Until then keep your fingers crossed.
