All-new Renault Duster debuts with distinctive styling enhancements
ABU DHABI: The French automaker Renault has pulled the wraps off the next-generation Duster months after its sub-brand Dacia showcased the SUV. Subtle design alterations have been introduced in the Renault version, as depicted in the images unveiled by the automaker, aimed at setting it apart from the Dacia Duster.

The 2024 Renault Duster’s engine options are expected to be similar to the Dacia version, including two electrified options- a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol with a 48V starter motor and a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid with two electric motors.Instead of a Dacia logo on the grille, the Renault Duster has Renault lettering. It has a boxy appearance and dimensions and it seems to be inspired by the Bigster concept. Some of the main exterior highlights include Y-shaped DRLs, sharp LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, squared wheel arches, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, Y-shaped LED taillamps, body cladding, and skid plates on the rear and front bumpers.
The new Duster is built on the CMF-B platform, which is also utilized by other Dacia, Nissan, and Renault models.
Inside the cabin, the dashboard design is similar to Dacia with the only difference being the unique finishing. In the higher variants, you get two digital screens: 10.1-inch for infotainment and 7.0-inch for driver info. Both SUVs feature Android Auto, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Arkamys 3D sound system, and automatic climate control. ADAS technology includes traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, and lane change warning.
The 2024 Renault Duster’s engine options are expected to be similar to the Dacia version, including two electrified options- a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol with a 48V starter motor and a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid with two electric motors. Diesel options won’t be available in any market.
The Duster will also be offered with terrain modes like Mud/Sand, Auto, Snow, Off-road, and Eco, along with impressive departure angles of 36 and 31 degrees, respectively, and 217mm ground clearance.
Renault has not yet confirmed whether the new Renault Duster will be launched in the UAE.
