All-new Audi A5 makes its debut with enhanced technology and refined aesthetics

ABU DHABI: In the next two years, Audi is set to introduce over 20 new models, with the new Audi A5 being the next in line. This new variant will replace the current A4 upon its launch. According to Audi's new naming system, even numbers denote electric vehicles, while odd numbers are designated for ICE models. 

The efficiency of the A5 range has been improved with a mild-hybrid system, and it will be the first model based on Audi's new Premium Platform Combustion architecture.

The redesigned A5 is unlike its previous convertible and sporty coupé forms, resembling the A4’s aggressive evolution. The main highlights include a broader single-frame grille and sharply curved hood with a honeycomb three-dimensional pattern. Its sleek headlights feature digital LED daytime running lights and a unique 3D design. The new A5 comes with blistered wheel arches that will remind you of the Audi Ur Quattro, a sculpted rear with OLED rear lights and flush door handles.

The interior of the new A5 series is inspired by the Q6 e-tron. It features a "Digital Stage" with a 14.5" MMI touchscreen and an 11.9" digital instrument cluster atop the dashboard in a curved panel. For the front passengers, it includes an optional 10.9" MMI display and a configurable head-up display, ideal for entertainment during long drives.

The new Audi A5 is available in different engine options including a 2.0-liter TFSI petrol with 204 PS and 150 PS, the latter comes with Quattro all-wheel drive. A 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine option is also available producing 204 PS and 400 Nm, mated with dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, available in both all-wheel and front-wheel drive setups.

Audi has enhanced the new A5 models chassis with improved steering precision and upgraded suspension. They now come with revised optional adaptive dampers that offer a wider range of sport and comfort-oriented settings.
