7-seater Renault Bigster SUV will debut next month

ABU DHABI: The production-ready Dacia Bigster based on the Renault Duster is set to make its global debut next month at the Paris Motor Show. Building on the success of the five-seater Duster, the seven-seater Bigster offers a more premium and spacious upgrade, catering to both adventure enthusiasts and families. With upscale features and an extra row of seats, the Bigster is poised to make a strong impact in the competitive SUV segment.

The Bigster shares many elements from the Duster, like the mechanical elements, CMF-B platform, and portions of the interior such as seats, dashboard, and body panels. However, it stands out with an increase in length. It measures around 4.6 meters and in comparison to Duster's two-row version, it is 300mm longer. Additionally, the Bigster comes with a longer wheelbase and larger rear doors for enhanced convenience.

The Renault Bigster will share the same engine options as the Duster, including a robust 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol version. It will be available in both 4×4 and 4×2 configurations, although the full 4×4 setup won’t be offered in the Bigster. Instead, the SUV will feature various terrain modes - Mud/Sand, Auto, Snow, Eco, and Off-road, designed to handle a wide range of driving conditions.
