Renault has unveiled the updated Duster in South Africa, offering a glimpse of the UAE-bound model. Its muscular, bold design with rugged claddings, big wheel arches, and prominent body lines ensures a strong road presence. The Duster retains its charm by avoiding gimmicks such as connected lights.
The UAE-bound Renault Duster will be offered with a 4X4 drivetrain option retaining its go-anywhere capability.
The new-gen Renault Duster will be available with three powertrain options globally: a 1.2L mild-hybrid, a 1.6L hybrid, and a 1.0L LPG petrol engine. The UAE model is expected to get the first two and it will be mated with a CVT automatic gearbox. For Europe, the LPG option has been reserved. The hybrid powertrain will significantly improve fuel efficiency by 10-15% in comparison to the current model which offers around 14.49–17.24 km/l mileage.
The cabin of the new Renault Duster has also been revamped with optimum space for five adults. It offers connected features such as a 7-inch digital instrument console, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, auto AC, and wireless charging.
Other key highlights include electric seats, an electric sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS features such as lane assist, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera. While the details about the UAE model have not been disclosed, it is anticipated to mirror the global variant with robust build quality and improved safety.
The new Renault Duster will compete with models such as the Kia Seltos and the Hyundai Creta and will be pricier than the current model. Its pricing is anticipated to be between AED 55,000 to AED 75,000. While a launch date has not been confirmed by Renault UAE, a mid-2025 debut is most likely expected based on global rollout trends.
