2025 Bentley Flying Spur unveiled; Check out what’s new

ABU DHABI: The new Bentley Continental GT that debuted earlier this year was equipped with a powerful hybrid powertrain. It replaced the W12 with an electric motor and twin-turbo V8. This hybrid setup will now be utilised by the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur, offering enhanced all-electric range, power, and efficiency in a four-door format.

The 2025 Bentley Flying Spur has been labelled as the brand's most powerful sedan. It features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 hybrid that generates around 771 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. This setup leads to an 11% boost in torque and a 19% increase in horsepower. It takes just 3.3 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph. In comparison to the previous model, it is half a second faster.

The new hybrid powertrain setup includes a 25.9-kWh battery that generates around a 47-mile all-electric range, though under EPA testing this may decrease. On electric power alone, it can travel up to 87 mph and charges at the rate of 11-kW, taking under three hours to replenish the battery.

The new Flying Spur looks similar to its predecessor but comes with a redesigned front bumper and unique Speed-specific grille. You also get the option of a Styling Specification aero package in body-colored paint or carbon fiber, and you can select from 101 available coluors, including the most demanding and historic Bentley shades.

The 2025 Flying Spur’s interior has been upgraded with a new center touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital instrument cluster. For third-party apps, it also supports a new My Bentley App Studio and over-the-air updates. Standard is a 650-watt audio system, 10-speaker with optional upgrades to 19-speaker or 16-speaker systems. The cabin noise has been reduced by nine decibels with the help of enhanced laminated glass.

While the price for the new Flying Spur hasn’t been announced, the starting price of the 2024 model is around $217,000 (AED 797 035.57). The new Flying Spur is expected to be even more expensive.
