2020 Nissan Patrol debuts in Abu Dhabi with fresh look
A fresh, new 2020 Nissan Patrol has made its way to the market with more technology, sophistication, comfort and safety features. The SUV marked its global debut in Abu Dhabi a few days back. While the Patrol has always been an admired SUV in this part of the region, its fresh avatar will only add to its glory.
Christened as the rugged, the 2020 Nissan Patrol is more comfortable, plusher and safer than ever. The company is said to have worked on its durability, safety, reliability and last but not least, its design.
The 2020 Nissan Patrol is more in line with the latest design language the company is producing its cars in accordance with these days. At the front, the updated Patrol receives a new V-motion grille that gives it a wide and powerful look. On either side of it are the boomerang-shaped LED headlamps.
The rear section gets minor tweaks including new tail lights with sequential turn signals and a sharper bumper. The full-width chrome slat at the back connects the tail lights that make up for a cleaner and an intimidating look.
Inside, the Patrol is even more luxurious than before. It comes with diamond-stitched, quilted leather seats, hand-stitched steering wheel, additional lumbar support for front occupants and climate control feature for an excellent driving experience. At the centre, the 2020 Patrol gets a map display. Further, the SUV comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. Nissan also touts about the Patrol’s quieter cabin.
On the safety front, Nissan has taken the Patrol a step higher with advanced safety features like intelligent mobility technology with pedestrian detection, intelligent forward collision warning system and intelligent emergency braking.
The core, however, of the Patrol remains the same as before. There are two engine options, V6 and V8. While the base 4.0-litre V6 unit churns out 275 PS of power and 394 Nm torque, the bigger V8 5.6-litre engine puts out 400 PS of max power and 560 Nm of peak torque. The V8 Patrol model is now available with Nissan's Hydraulic Body Motion Control adaptive suspension system for a more pleasant experience.
In the UAE, the new 2020 Nissan Patrol is up for grab at a starting price of AED 199,000.
