2020 Lexus RX Petrol and Hybrid Electric variants launched in the UAE

The refreshed crossover, 2020 Lexus RX, has been launched across the UAE in petrol and hybrid electric models with noticeable modifications done to enhance safety, equip advanced technology features and make it look stylish than ever. The Lexus RX crossover is in its fourth generation and with the 2020 iteration, Lexus is focussed to rejuvenate things for the buyers and admirers across the globe. 

Talking about the changes, Lexus has equipped the 2020 RX with the BladeScan headlights that are said to be advanced than the regular ones powered by high-beam technology. The new lights are aimed to improve driving at night or during poor weather conditions when visibility is bleak. They are said to illuminate areas which are difficult for normal headlights to highlight.

Inside, the 2020 Lexus RX specs include a 2.3-inch infotainment system with touchscreen and smartphone connectivity feature supporting both, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as standard. Additionally, the 2020 RX now comes with Lexus Safety System + for taking even better care of the occupants. Along with this, the company has bestowed it with a new F Sport package that includes features like Electric Power Steering (EPS), active sound control and cold air intake. 

A stiffer suspension design has been approved and included in the 2020 RX for better responsiveness and vibration and noise reduction. For improved steering response and reduced body roll, the weight of the front and rear stabilizer bars have been reduced. Dampers have been re-tuned and a new friction control device has been added to control high-frequency vibrations. 

At the core, the 2020 RX crossover uses the 3.5-litre V6 engine. While the RX 350 petrol churns outs 300 PS of power, the RX 450h hybrid (with two electric motors) is capable of producing 312 PS of mas power. 

The managing director of Al-Futtaim Lexus, Mohammed Maktari said, “With the latest updates, the RX is truly in a class of its own.” He further explained, “The new model features a range of interior and exterior enhancements build on the iconic luxury crossover’s appeal that contributes to the reinvigorated design and comfort of its driver and passengers.”
