2019 Frankfurt Motor Show to see the successor of Aventador
ABU DHABI: Going the by the reports, the Lamborghini Aventador, which is the last of the cars in the world with a naturally aspirated V12 motor will be finally replaced by a newer model very soon. Come 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, and we will witness the successor of the Italian sports icon in the flesh.
The Ferrari SF90 Stradale that is powered by a 3,990cc turbocharged V8 engine will act as the arch-rival of the upcoming Lamborghini flagship. The newest iteration of the Italian sports car carries the codename “LB48H” and is set to feature a naturally aspirated V12 along with an electric powerhouse.
The current-generation Lamborghini Aventador SVJ or Superveloce Jot house the L539 6.5-litre mill. This V12 makes 770 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 720 Nm. Maurizio Reggiani, the Chief Technical Officer at Lamborghini cited that with the changing times, the automaker is bound to electrify its sports icon.
Due to the additional components, the all-new Lamborghini is going to be as much as 200-kg heavier than the current-generation model. Similarly, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale in its hybrid guise also weighs good 270-kg more than the standard model that comes with a solitary internal combustion engine. Talking about the power figures, the successor of the Lamborghini Aventador will receive up to 1000 hp of maximum power from its V12 and electric motor combined.
