Supercars parked in Cristiano Ronaldo's garage
Cristiano Ronaldo needs no introduction, has built his career from nothing. He gave all his sweat and blood to football. He’s often considered as the best player in the world and widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. With an estimated net worth of USD 400 million (AED 1,46,92,40,000) and a weekly income of approximately USD 485,000 (AED 1,781,453), Ronaldo has earned his way to be a successful football player. Apart from football, he has a thing for supercars. Here is the list of supercars that are parked in his garage.
1- Bugatti Chiron
Just like Ronaldo himself, the Chiron, too, doesn’t need any introduction. The successor to the mighty Bugatti Veyron, the Chiron is a pinnacle in engineering. Made only in a limited number, the Chiron costs over USD 2.5 million (AED 91,82,750) and is the most expensive car in Ronaldo’s garage.
It’s powered by a massive 8.0-litre W16 engine with four turbochargers. With 1,500 horses and 1,600 Nm of torque onboard, the Chiron does the 0-100 kmph spring in a mere 2.4 seconds. And, not to mention, it has a top speed of 420 kmph, which is electronically limited by the way.
2- LaFerrari
The LaFerrari was Ferrari’s answer to McLaren P1, and Porsche 918 Spyder. This is a hybrid supercar house a 6.0-litre V12 petrol engine and a 120 kW electric motor. These two together produce a mind-boggling 963 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. Unlike the 918 Spyder, the LaFerrari is purely rear-wheel-driven. It goes from 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and flat out will reach 350 kmph.
Just like the Chiron, the LaFerrari, too, is a limited edition - only 499 of them were ever built. And all of them have been sold. Ronaldo does have quite a taste, doesn’t he? At a price of USD 1.45 million (AED 53,25,995), the LaFerrari is the second most expensive car in Ronaldo’s garage.
3- Ferrari F12tdf
Another Ferrari in this list is the F12tdf - Tour De France. This has been designed to pay tribute to the epic endurance road race that Ferrari dominated during the ‘50s and ‘60s. The F12tdf is really a work of art. It’s just fantastic to look at. It feels fast even if it’s stationary. There’s a huge 6.3-litre, naturally aspirated V12 which gives you 780 horses to play with and 705 Nm of torque to get going. The F1-derived 7-speed DCT is lightning quick.
And this entire package takes the F12tdf from zero to a ton in just 2.9 seconds. Make the throttle pedal to kiss the floor for 5 more seconds and you’d be crossing the 200 kmph mark. And it has a top speed of 340 kmph. With a price tag of USD 450,000 (AED 1,652,895), only 799 of F12tdf are available for purchase; one is with Ronaldo.
4- Ferrari 599 GTO
Ronaldo seems to collect or own things that are available only in limited numbers. All his supercars that we’ve mentioned so far are limited edition runs. It’s also quite clear that Ronaldo has a softer side towards Ferrari. The third supercar on this list is yet again a Ferrari - the 599 GTO. When Ferrari announced that it will manufacture only 599 units of this car, Ronaldo had to get it, not only because of his inclination towards limited things but also because of the fact that he had owned a Ferrari 599 GTB in the past which he totalled in a crash in 2009.
The 599 GTO is powered by the same engine which was given the responsibilities in the 599 GTB - a 6.0-litre V12 - but it has been re-tuned to produce 670 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque. This pulls the GTO from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and can take it to a top speed of 335 km/h. The Ferrari 599 GTO costs USD 500,000 (AED 1,836,550).
5- Lamborghini Aventador
Moving away from one Italian brand to the other, the next car on this list is the Lamborghini Aventador. This machine is one of the best cars to come out with the bull logo. And we’d have been disappointed if this wasn’t on this list. It has got Lamborghini’s magnificent 6.5-litre V12 engine that grunts out almost 700 horses and generates 690 Nm of torque.
The Aventador is one of the fastest Lamborghinis out there. It does 0-100 in just 2.9 seconds, and it has got the guts to hover around 350 kmph when fully unleashed. The Aventador is so good that Ronaldo has got two of them - each costing at least USD 400,000 (AED 1,469,240).
6- Range Rover Sport SVR
The last on the list is the Range Rover Sport SVR. We reckon that this must be Ronaldo’s daily commuter. Obviously, you can’t use a supercar to get those family errands done. Priced at USD 120,000 (AED 440,772), this SUV packs in a 5.0-litre V8 under the hood. It produces 550 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque which is more than sufficient to launch this2.3-tonne vehicle from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, which is quite commendable considering its dimensions.
Way to go Ronaldo!
