Volkswagen is known worldwide for producing high performance luxury cars. Scirocco, the 2 door sports coupe, is yet another sensational innovation by the German giants. Powerful, dexterous and differentiated, Scirocco is an ideal sports car designed for superior performance and offering an overwhelming driving experience. Currently in its third generation, the car was first introduced in 1974 as a replacement for the aging Karmann Ghia coupe. Scirocco has been a great success story not just in UAE but all over the world and much credits for this goes to its dynamic demeanor, superior power, sumptuous interiors and advanced infotainment system which makes it a car to strive for.
Volkswagen Scirocco Interior & Features
With the advanced ergonomics and a large wheelbase, the cabin of Scirocco would definitely not fail to impress you. The dynamic cockpit architecture embedded with simple and clear instrumentation adds to the flamboyance inside. Every inch on the instrumental panel has been optimally used. The body hugging sports seats with their excellent lateral support will effortlessly offset even considerable centrifugal forces. The stylish chrome features on the rotary light switch and chrome trim on mirror adjustment switch gives the interior an air of charisma. Volkswagen Scirocco is a paragon of a dynamic vehicle that blends high power with elegant appearance. The striking lines, known as waist lines, coupled with the dynamic side profile makes the car look captivating. The stylish quotient of the car is aggrandized by its striking honeycomb structure on the radiator grille and the air inlet. As befitting a genuine sports coupe the rear view is quite captivating, thanks to its dynamic spoiler, an elegant diffuser with twin exhaust pipes and the sophisticated swivel badge. The car comes equipped with alloy wheels of size 17 inch, 18 inch and 19 inch available in many alluring designs. The wheelbase of the car measures 2578 mm which makes provisions for ample of cabin space and legroom inside.
Volkswagen Scirocco Engine & Fuel Consumption
Scirocco is available in variants powered by 3 different engines namely 1.4 litre TSI engine, 2.0 litre TSI engine and 2.0 litre FSI engine. The maximum power delivered across these 3 engines ranges from 118 kW at 5800 rpm to 188 kW at 6000 rpm and the peak torque reached ranges from 240 Nm between 1500 to 4500 rpm to 350 Nm at 2500 rpm. These powerful engines ensure an exhilarating sensation when accelerating, thanks to the standard BlueMotion technology which not only delivers a superior performance but also keeps the fuel consumption low. The 2.0 litre FSI engine can dispatch 0-100 km/hr in mere 6 seconds and can clock a top speed of 250 km/hr. When it comes to fuel economy, the car doesn't disappoint and delivers a peace of mind when looking at the consumption figures. The 1.4 litre TSI engine can deliver a decent mileage of 15.8 kmpl. The car also comes in even more sporty variant called Scirocco R which can deliver a power as high as 206 kW.
Scirocco Braking & Safety
Scirocco is possibly one of the most easy to handle cars you will ever drive. The sporty yet comfortable handling offered by Scirocco is a result of its adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control which provides you ample adjustment options for any driving style on type of terrain. The optionally available direct shift gearbox provides swift and easy change of gears and hence results in better acceleration. Verdict:
The car is a perfect amalgamation of a vehicle offering exceptional power and everlasting comfort. The low boot space offered might set a bit of disgruntlement though.
