On the inside too, the Kia Quoris doesn’t have the futuristic essence of its rivals, but one thing is clear – there is no dearth of plushness and posh appearance here in the cabin. You get four upholstery options to choose from, each of which has elegance associated with it.

The unique-looking three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with broad upper spokes looks nice and feels great to hold, and has a unique layout of rounded buttons for controls. The instrument console is a 12.3-inch supervision LCD, which has multiple display modes giving it a futuristic look.

The wraparound dashboard has a wide center console, which seeks inspiration from that of the Carnival, with a large touchscreen infotainment system nestled between trapezoidal AC vents on either side, which do get chrome surrounds. Below this is placed a control panel for the buttons for audio and climate control in the lower portion of the dashboard, with a classy looking analog clock in between.

For a premium sedan, the Kia Quoris is loaded with bells and whistles such as three-zone automatic climate control, push-button start with keyless entry, front and rear armrest control boxes for audio and other functions, panoramic sunroof, 9.2-inch dual monitors for rear-seat entertainment, powered and ventilated front seats with memory function, electric rear sunshade, wireless phone charger and many more.

While the design philosophy of the Kia Quoris doesn’t create new benchmarks and doesn’t stand out as much as the other luxury sedans, it surely has got a road presence and it is all due to its poised silhouette and lengthy profile.

The front profile of the Kia Quoris is dominated by the large ‘Tiger Nose’ grille like in all other Kia cars, however, the grille is quite rounded here and gets chrome surrounds and diamond-like inserts finished in chrome. The sweptback headlamps look cool and get ice cube-shaped squared LED projectors within them. The front bumper looks elegant with daytime running LED strips and small fog lamps placed just below the former.

It is from the side when the Kia Quoris looks the best, with the stretched wheelbase and supremely aerodynamic design giving it a luxurious appeal. The chrome-finished surrounds for the windows and the sleek chrome garnish running across the lower portion of the doors add to the premium appeal even more.

From the rear, the Kia Quoris seeks some inspiration from the BMW 7-Series sedan, with large sweptback LED tail lamps on corners covering most of the boot lid area and joined by a sleek chrome line, which extends over the upper edges of the tail lamps.

With a rear-wheel-drive layout as standard, the Kia Quoris comes with air suspension with three drive modes om offer – normal mode, low mode, and high mode, all of which do offer a great balance of ride and comfort. The steering, however, lacks the zing, as the light-weighted character lacking the feedback which can be appreciated at higher speeds.

The Kia Quoris can be had in only one engine and gearbox combination, which is a 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces a peak power output of 290 PS and a maximum torque output of 358 Nm.

The lengthy list of safety features like nine airbags, heads up display, smart cruise control, blind-spot detection, surround-view monitor, ABS with EBD and brake assist, traction control, electronic stability control, hill start assist and front and rear parking sensors do match the premium equipment list of the Kia Quoris.

While it might not be too dramatic to look at, but the Kia Quoris certainly has got the poise, sophistication and road presence normally associated with the premium sedans of this cadre. The long equipment list on board, refined engine, and supple ride quality all combine to make the Quoris a comfortable place to be in.
