Ferrari F8 Spider Overview
The Ferrari F8 Spider debuted as an all-new car for the 2020 model-year. The car has since remained unchanged, with the Italian luxury car manufacturer discontinuing the F8 Tributo fixed-roof coupe. This means that the Spider is only available in the F8 series. The car is hauled by a twin-turbocharged, intercooled, 8-cylinder, 3.9-litre petrol engine which produces 710 PS maximum power. The motor is mated to a 7-speed automatic. The Ferrari F8 is a race-focused luxury sports car that comes with carbon-ceramic brakes, a light and precise steering wheel, and a full safety suite. The price of the Ferrari F8 Spider starts at AED 1,040,600.

Ferrari F8 Spider Expert Review
Abhishek Katariya says
The Ferrari F8 Spider is one of the most expensive convertible offerings from the iconic Italian brand of sports cars. This mid-engine sports car arrived in 2019 as a successor to the Ferrari 488 and immediately garnered a lot of fans for its drop-dead gorgeousness. The Ferrari F8 Spider is globally at the end of its lifecycle and is still on sale in the UAE car market in limited numbers.

Ferrari F8 Spider Interior & Features
The overall dashboard of the Ferrari F8 Spider is heavily inspired by that of the 488 Spider, which features a lot of carbon fibre inserts and Alcantara leather for the dashboard, sports seats and multi-functional sports steering wheel, which has a host of buttons and controls of different vehicle functions on it.
Behind the sports steering wheel, which looks inspired by that of a Formula One car, the Ferrari F8 Spider gets a sporty-looking instrument console with a centrally-placed tachometer flanked by LCD screens for various data on display. The minimalist centre console is bathed in carbon fibre while having offset-mounted rounded AC vents with satin silver garnish and touch-controlled panels for the various other settings.
The co-driver side of the dashboard comes with a neatly integrated 7-inch slim touchscreen panel for controlling the infotainment and climate control functions. The lower centre console, which also has a slim and minimalist design, has a trapezoidal panel for physical buttons for climate control and a horizontal pillar with ride control settings buttons.
F8 Spider Exterior
The F8 Spider follows the traditions of Ferrari of having a curvaceous design which is an absolute head turner. However, besides having a lot of curves all over, there are some sharp-looking edgy design elements, which make the F8 Spider look edgy and attractive and make it look fast even while it is parked at a standstill.
The front profile of the Ferrari F8 Spider has a smoothly flowing bonnet, with an S-duct being the prime highlight, making the car look extremely aerodynamic. The lower half of the side curved bulges have vertically aligned L-shaped sleek all-LED headlamps, with daytime running LED strips at their lower edge. More aerodynamic air intake curtains can be found on the corners of the front bumper and the middle of the front bumper, the latter of which is flanked by air mesh ducts serving as side splitters.
The swooping curves flow beautifully over the side profile of the Ferrari F8 Spider, with prominent bulges over the front and rear fenders adding a muscular appeal to the side look of the sports car. While the door panels here feature door-mounted rearview mirrors and flush-type door handles, the rear fenders also have triangular air ducts recessed in them for the intercooler, accompanied by gloss black flaps over them.
The curves and haunches of the rear side fenders flow towards the boot and merge with the side curves of the steeply-raked rear windscreen, which hides the twin-turbocharged V8 engine under it. With a massive fixed wing across the boot, while merging with the curves of the rear fenders, the F8 Spider also has twin rounded LED tail lamps positioned below the lower edges of the spoiler. The F8 Spider has additional air ducts below the tail lamps, while the carbon fibre rear splitter has exhaust ports positioned in the middle with a small gap between them.
Ferrari F8 Spider Ride & Handling
Like most of the other modern-day Ferrari models, the F8 Spider also features a Magnettino dial on its sports steering wheel, which makes this steering wheel one of the most tech-advanced controllers for sports cars. This dial controls various new software features, such as Ferrari’s latest Side Slip Angle Control for better traction and electronic stability program. The Ferrari F8 Spider also has Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer for managing drifts with Race drive mode for an even more thrill-filled driving experience.
F8 Spider Engine & Fuel Consumption
Shared with a few other Ferrari models like SF90 Stradale and Portofino, the Ferrari F8 Spider gets a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which here is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Ferrari F8 Spider claims a maximum power output of 720 PS and a maximum torque output of 770 Nm. With a claimed 0-100 kmph timing of 2.9 seconds, the F8 Spider claims a top speed of 340 kmph.
Ferrari F8 Spider Braking & Safety
The decent amount of safety features offered in the Ferrari F8 Spider include front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, vehicle dynamics control and more.
F8 Spider Verdict
The Ferrari F8 Spider might be at the end of its lifecycle, but it still feels very relevant even today for the kind of beauty, performance and driving appeal it offers. The twin-turbo V8, electronics package and aerodynamic styling add to its fantastic driving prowess.
