Volkswagen ID.4 stars alongside King Kong and Godzilla in a new movie

ABU DHABI: Volkswagen’s new ID.4 appears alongside legendary Titans like King Kong and Godzilla in the new “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” movie. Volkswagen collaborated with Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. for the global premiere of the movie on March 27.

Volkswagen Japan and HQ together created a short and engaging social media content related to Godzilla x Kong. The clips showcase the Volkswagen ID. 4 alongside the legendary Titans, showcasing the car's capabilities and offering a dose of fun storytelling.

The "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" teaser trailer has garnered over 100 million views since its release in December 2023, building immense anticipation. Alongside cast members like Bryan Tyree Henry, Rebecca Hall, and Kaylee Hottle, the Volkswagen ID.4 makes a grand appearance in this blockbuster movie.

The marketing team of Volkswagen partnered with Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. to create three humorous clips: “Need A Charge,” “The Awakening,” and “Coffee Run.”

Imelda Labbé, a Member of the Brand Board of Management of Volkswagen, emphasized the emotional connection between the movie and the ID.4. Volkswagen Japan partnered to introduce the ID.4 in Japan to a wider audience, promoting sustainable mobility enthusiasm. James Ngo, Legendary Entertainment’s Executive VP, expressed excitement about the presence of ID.4 in the MOVIE, merging the Monsterverse world with automotive innovation.

Volkswagen's appearance in movies is not just limited to Godzilla x Kong. Disney+ and Volkswagen collaborated on Star Wars series such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mandalorian. Volkswagen ID.4 appeared in many successful projects like Extraction 2 and Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
