Volkswagen celebrates the quarter century of Polo GTI in the auto industry
ABU DHABI: Volkswagen has introduced Polo GTI’s new special-edition version to commemorate the completion of 25 years of the compact hot hatch. The VW Polo GTI Edition 25 will be manufactured in Kariega, South Africa, which opened in 1951. It will be available from June 1 and will be limited to 2500 units.

The special hatchback will be powered by a 2.0-liter TSI engine making a peak torque of 320 Nm and maximum power output of 207 PS. It will take 6.5 seconds to complete a century sprint.
Inside, the Polo GTI Edition 25 gets an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is the same as the Polo GTI, but it now comes with the semi-autonomous Travel Assist system and bespoke touches in the black-and-red sport seats with gloss black inserts and a 25 badge on the steering wheel.
The Polo GTI Edition 25 will go on sale from June 1 in Germany. Due to its limited production allocation, there are low chances for the model to arrive in the UAE.
