Two McLaren 720S-es one-off models revealed
ABU DHABI: McLaren is undoubtedly one of the biggest sports car manufacturers in the world. But there is also some more truth attached to it. There is also a section of the brand itself that is known for the further personalisation of almost all the models in the lineup, especially the latest one.
The MSO (McLaren Special Operations) has now worked on a couple of 720S-es that have been commissioned by two dealers from the United Kingdom. The two models that got a reshape under the needle are called the 720S Track Theme and the 720S Pacific Theme. These two receive distinct elements on the aesthetics, like the paint job, and interior designing.
The 720S Track Theme has been commissioned by McLaren Manchester dealer and is more circuit oriented. The exterior colour is a mixture of an Anniversary White paint with Carbon Black additions. There are fine stripes that run on the hood, rear quarter panel and the doors, along with the air brakes. Apart from just the black and white, there are slight Tarroco Orange additions from the 2017 Formula 1 too.
On the contrary, the 720S Pacific Theme is commissioned by the McLaren Glasgow dealer and is shaded with Cerulean Blue and darker Estoril Blue that make the contrast on the mirrors and air scoops.
On the interior, the former has Jet Black Alcantara theme that is done in McLaren Orange on the stitchings. Moreover, there is also a good reduction of weight as the carbon fibre (finished in satin) components helped. Also, the titanium harness is almost 50% lighter than what the standard steel version is.
The latter, that is the 720S Pacific Theme, has similar blue stitchings and inserts on the cabin and also an almost-hiding blue centre band made on the steering.
These two McLaren 720S-es are one-off cars that are adorned as special ones among the official lineup.
