The 2020 Jaguar F-Type is on its way

ABU DHABI: The Jaguar F-Type has been an eerily designed car when it comes to its fierce aesthetics. That said, the 2020 model year of the car is up for you to see.

Yes, it is the 2020 Jaguar F-Type that is headed on its way, instead of 2019, which has probably disappeared into the ocean of uncertainties. Hence, this F-Type R, which is the sportier V8 model, will be getting the revised suspension setup, a setting that is inspired from the F-Type.

Plus, with the 70-year celebration since the first XK120, the company is also working on the special edition F-Type, known as the Chequered Flag. Though the technical specifications of this special edition model are similar to what we get in the R-Dynamic trim, there are a number of visual enhancements to set it apart from the rest.

 

There is quite a lot of glossy black additions to the car, both inside and out. Moreover, there is also the addition of a Meridian stereo in the standard list. All of these additions are welcomed given the fact that the Chequered Flag special model would cost around £10,000 (AED 46859.25) over the standard F-Type. Hence, the cheapest Chequered Flag would cost around £62,000 (AED 290527.33), which is a whopping price to think of, especially for the 2.0-litre engine car.

However, it would even be available with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder (V-aligned) engine, which would be mated to the same 8-speed Quickshift gearbox.

Quite interestingly, the smaller Jaguar F-Type is quite a successful and popular model. And to provide testimony to this, you might like to know that the car has been up for around six years now and all we had till date are minor updates, with no major overhaul.
