ABU DHABI: Rimac Nevera continues its record-holding spirit at the Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Germany. After breaking 23 production car records in one day back in May, Rimac Nevera has again created history. The battery-powered hypercar circled the race circuit in 7:05.298, setting the Nürburgring production EV lap record.

At the Monterey Car Week, Nevera announced the Nevera Time Attack, an all-new variant of the Nevera.With the new record, Rimac Nevera has beaten the previous record holder, the Tesla Model S Plaid, by a 20-second difference. Croatian racing driver Martin Kodrićhe drove the Nevera on the track. The car sported Michelin Cup2R tires and embarked on its mission to break the world record on one of the year's hottest days.
At Monterey Car Week, Rimac announced the new Nurburgring record for electric production vehicles of 7:05.298 on the longer configuration and 7:00.928 on the shorter circuit. Along with this, it also announced the Nevera Time Attack, an all-new variant of the Nevera. The first Nevera Time Attack boasts a sleek black exterior with twin stripes, wheels, parts, rear and front bumpers, and the lower half of the body finished in lightning green.
It is not the first record claimed by the 1914-hp EV. Last November, it hit 258 mph, becoming the fastest-production electric car. Following that achievement, Nevera set 23 braking and acceleration records last May. Nevera also achieved a 0-100 kmph sprint in an astonishingly quick 1.81 seconds, surpassing the timings recorded earlier in the year by Autocar India while testing a Pininfarina Battista.
