Milan Red - A new generation hypercar is here
ABU DHABI: Entering into the world of hypercars after the greats like Koenigsegg, Bugatti, and Pagani, is a new car company from Austria called Milan Automotive. Led by Markus Fux, CEO Milan Automotive, the company is ready with a new generation of hypercar called the Milan Red.
The Milan Red is a brainchild of extraordinary specialists who come together to challenge the existing by combining the skills of speed, design, and driving dynamics.
Markus Fux, the CEO of Milan Automotive said, "Nowadays you can drive an artistic car, a high-tech-monster, a throne on four wheels - or a car, that only serves one purpose: stealing everyone the show. And this is where we come into play."
Getting the right blend of radical design, superlative performance, and construction mechanics won’t be a walk in the park for the Austrian automaker. But it looks like some incredible effort has been put to match the supremacy of the legends already. Here’s what the Milan Automotive is up to.
The Milan Red boasts a dead weight of 1,300 kg, thanks to its carbon fibre monocoque and other body panels. It gets a rear wing that not only contributes to the visual appeal of the hypercar but doubles up to act as an air brake, aiding the carbon ceramic Brembo brakes.
Under the hood, it gets a humongous 6.2-litre V8 engine whose power and torque outputs are rated at 1324 PS and 1400 Nm respectively. The engine comes mated to a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission system that supplies power to the rear axle. The company claims that the Red can sprint from nought to 100 kmph in just 2.47 seconds before attaining a top speed of 400 kmph.
With only 99 units of the Red to be produced, the company claims that 18 units have already been booked. The Milan Red is priced at $2.33 million (AED 8.56 million).
