MG RX9 steals spotlight at 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show

ABU DHABI: Among several international car brands that have put up their latest models at the 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show is MG Motors. The event marked an important moment in the brand’s history with the global launch of the all-new MG RX9 and the regional debut of the new MG 5. 

MG Motor Middle East displayed a total of 14 models at the event, including MG RX9, MG 5, Cyberster, MG Whale, MG ONE, MG ZS EV, MG 4 EV, MG 3, and MG 7. 

As MG celebrates 100 years, its participation in the show “underscores its commitment to delivering innovative, affordable vehicles to customers in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.”

Let’s know more about the new MG RX9 in detail -

Designed for both streets and off-road terrains, the  MG RX9 is a premium SUV featuring refined styling and advanced technology.

The exterior looks bold and sharp with a Starburst Wing front grille and LED highlights. Its dynamic styling is accentuated by class-leading 21-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and pop-out flush door handles, offering a seamless blend of style and functionality.

The interior provides “cloud nine comfort” with 140-degree reclining second-row seats offering first-class support, complemented by ventilated seats. The third-row of the spacious SUV comes with 35 degrees of reclining seats offering ample legroom to the occupants.

The SUV comes in three trims - STD, COM and LUX, all are powered by a 2.0-litre “Net Blue” engine generating a maximum power of 201 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. It comes mated to a ZF 9 AT automatic transmission and a 4WD system with multiple driving modes – Auto, Sport, Snow, Eco, and Off-road.

Equipment kit also includes - dual 12.3” full colour displays, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless phone charging, 12-speaker premium BOSE audio system, Auto Hold brakes, push-button start, 3-zone automatic air conditioning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, side and curtain airbags, and a 360° camera system.

With a balance of practicality and fresh design, the MG RX9 is expected to capture the interest of families and frequent travellers.
