MG RX8 launched in the Middle East with seven seats

MG officially launched its all-new seven seater mid-size SUV, MG RX8 in the Middle East. The model is well-equipped with bold-styling and offers a plethora of options and huge space for seven people. With this launch, MG is all set to hit the market in the region where the popularity of large off-roaders is extremely high.

On the exterior front, the new MG RX8 features smooth lines and an impressive presence. It incorporates:

• A chrome grille and double-slot bonnet
• Sharp headlights on either side (higher variant include LED)
• A twin chrome exhaust on the rear end

 

The inside cabin MG RX8 specifications include:

• Dual-zone climate control
• Cruise control
• Push-start engine
• Panoramic sunroof
• A wireless phone charger
• 10-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Power tailgate
• 7-inch digital display
• Ventilated seats
• An eight-speaker audio system

Under the skin, the drivetrain of the vehicle is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated with a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, produces 220 PS of power and 360 Nm of torque. The MG RX8 also got real-time Torque on Demand (TOD) system.

The strong seven seater vehicle is built on a tough truck chassis frame and comes with the option of an advanced 4WD system with six different driving modes including Off-road, Sport and Auto.

The MG RX8 safety features include a range of technical specification:

• Front, side and curtain airbags
• Tyre pressure monitoring system
• Front and rear sensors with a rearview camera
• Active rollover protection.
• Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as a lane departure warning system are present on higher trims.

The MG RX8 price in the Middle East starts with USD 21,850 (AED 80,255) and for top-spec, it is USD 25,700 (AED 94,396). A six-year or 200,000 km warranty is included in price.
