MG Cyber X SUV Breaks Cover with Futuristic Design at Shanghai 2025

Abu Dhabi : The Cyber X features a boxy body, stealthy matte black finish, and rare pop-up headlights, giving it a concept-like feel.

MG has revealed its second Cyber series model, the all-electric Cyber X SUV, at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show with concept-inspired styling and tech developed with Oppo.

MG Cyber X: An SUV with Concept DNA

MG’s newest electric SUV, the Cyber X, is bold, boxy, and unlike anything in MG’s current range. Drenched in matte black and shaped with sharp edges, it resembles a near-production concept vehicle rather than a typical showroom model. 

The pop-up headlights are the highlight — a nostalgic throwback that blends retro and futuristic vibes. Other standout design elements include:

• Floating roof effect, created by smoked black A- and B-pillars.
• Two-tone wheels with silver-black five-spoke design.

Inside the Tech-Centric Cabin

While MG hasn’t shown full interior images yet, it has confirmed a big collaboration. The cockpit and connectivity systems in the Cyber X were co-developed with Oppo, the well-known smartphone brand. This likely means:
