Meet the specially commissioned Overfinch Land Rover Defender

ABU DHABI: Overfinch, the England-based company, which has been customizing Range Rover and Land Rover cars since 1975 has come up with another spectacular creation. It is the specially commissioned Soft Top Defender that is based on the Defender 90 with a two-seat configuration instead of the standard 4-seat layout.

The Overfinch Soft Top Defender is powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine from General Motors that has been encased in carbon fibre. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed auto transmission system that’s capable of churning out a max power of 456 PS. The setup is good for a limited top speed of 177 kmph. 

Overfinch has painted it in a deep Emerald Green colour upon the client request. The colour of the removable soft-top cover has been coordinated with the car’s exterior finish. A special roll-over protection cage has been constructed to clip on the soft-top cover. Aside from this, the company has used marine-grade teak on the rear load space and built a lockable storage box, which features a ‘Special Commission’ plaque. 

Moreover, you’d find handcrafted lettering on the bonnet and branding cues on the fuel cap, door handles, side sills, wheel cars, and headrests. The Overfinch Land Rover Defender runs on the 18-inch alloy wheels that are finished in the same Emerald Green colour as the entire car. For braking, it gets uprated 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brakes. 

Inside, it gets Recaro sports seats in a combination of Emerald and Tan leather with contrast stitching. Matching upholstery is present across the cabin that can be seen on the dash, storage compartment in the centre and the steering wheel. Additionally, you’d see the presence of chrome on the handbrake, gear selector, pedals, door handles and instrument dials, all of these components get a knurling treatment.

The Overfinch 6.2L Land Rover Soft-Top Defender is priced at £239,990 (AED 1.16 million approx).
