Meet the newest member of Volkswagen: The ID.7 Tourer all-electric wagon
ABU DHABI: Volkswagen has introduced its all-electric wagon, the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer. Following the previously unveiled ID.7 sedan’s success, this latest addition marks the entry of Volkswagen into the electric wagon segment. Within the European market segment, the ID.7 Tourer is one of the first electric wagons.

The ID.7 Tourer’s production will take place in line with the ID.4 SUV and ID.7 fastback sedan’s assembly at Volkswagen's electric mobility plant that is located in Emden, Germany.Under the skin, at the front end, and in the cabin ID.7 Tourer is identical to the regular ID.7, but with a shed bolted on the back for extra load-lugging, With the seats up it offers 605 liters of space and with seats down it offers 1714 liters space which is more than the BMW i5.
The Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer stands out from the sedan version with various visual variations, notably in its sleek transition to the boot lid and elongated roofline. It combines the dynamic flair of a shooting brake and elements of a classic estate.
The Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer will be available in two battery sizes. The WLTP-rated range of the long-range model will be around 685 km and it can be charged at a maximum of 200 kW DC charging rate, which can charge the car in under 30 minutes from 10 to 80%.
The standard equipment list of the Tourer EV is very long like the ID.7 sedan. It comes with ED tail lights and headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, an augmented reality head-up display, the artificial intelligence bot called ChatGPT, and heated front seats.
ID.7 Tourer’s production will take place in line with the ID.4 SUV and ID.7 fastback sedan’s assembly at Volkswagen's electric mobility plant that is located in Emden, Germany. This facility has been opened to accommodate the electric vehicles growing demand in the European market.
