Land Rover unveils 2023 Range Rover Sport SV

ABU DHABI: Land Rover introduced the new Range Rover Sport last year, overhauling the brand's styling approach into a simpler, cleaner design. The SUV  now gets a new version, called the Range Rover Sport SV. It is the fastest Range Rover Sport the automaker has ever developed. JLR has also described it as the most technologically advanced and dynamic Range Rover Sport ever.

The SV in the name signifies that this brand-new model is being developed by JLR's Special Vehicle Operations personalization division which also develops ultra-luxury models wearing an SV Autobiography badge.

The all-new Range Rover Sport SV is powered by a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine generating a maximum power of 635 PS and a peak torque of 750 Nm. This is more than the previous generation model's supercharged 5.0-litre V-8 engine. 

The all-new Range Rover SV combines distinctive character and dramatic modernity with electrified performance. Some of the outstanding features include-

• 29-speaker Meridian Signature Sound System
• Gear selector lever in black ceramic
• World's first translucent edge-lit gear shift paddle that sits behind the steering wheel 
• In-car sensory audio technology (aka Soul Seat and Body)
• Satin carbon fibre-backed SV Performance seats along with SV logos on the backrests

There is also carbon detailing on the front bumper blades, badging script, vents, and grille. The essential drivetrain elements include torque vectoring by braking, an eight-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel steering, and dynamic launch mode. 

JLR is planning to offer the all-new Range Rover Sport SV via invite-only in the first production year. It will be available in the limited edition SV EDITION ONE specification. This means that only a few lucky car enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on this limited-edition model.
