Kia offers a glimpse of facelifted EV6 ahead of global debut
ABU DHABI: The Kia EV6 facelift is scheduled for debut later this month, around three years after the release of the original car. The automaker has unveiled the first official images of the upcoming EV, showcasing significant changes. The Kia EV6 facelift draws inspiration from the EV9, marking a major evolution in the model's appearance.

The EV6 facelift is expected to have a larger 84 kWh battery pack like its sister the Hyundai Ioniq 5.The front design features the iconic tiger-nose grille with a noticeable enhancement for a prominent look. The blade-like grille panel is mated to slim daytime running lights. At the back, we can notice a subtly revised rear light bar. These exterior updates have been complemented by a fresh alloy wheel design.
The interior of the facelifted EV6 is expected to feature an intuitive infotainment system, adopting the EV9’s 'triple panorama display' layout. This setup includes a 12.3-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, similar to the existing EV6. For climate control, it has a smaller 5.3-inch touchscreen.
Like its cousin the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the facelifted EV6 is expected to have a larger 84 kWh battery pack. Earlier this year, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 underwent an upgrade increasing its powerpack to 84kWh from 77.4kWh. Hyundai also enhanced the Ioniq 5’s body structure for improved agility and stability. The additional sound insulation enhances the refinement of the Hyundai Ioniq 5. These features could be integrated into the facelifted EV6.
The refreshed version of the EV6 will be revealed in Korea first and then it will be introduced in other markets.
