The concept offers an insight into the production model anticipated for launch late next year. Dramatic and bold in design, it marks a shift from the traditionally subtle aesthetics of Jaguar. With this striking new direction, the brand hopes to win over critics.

The Jaguar Type 00 concept, named for a fresh start and zero emissions, showcases a flamboyant and bold design. Departing from the subtlety and elegance of past models, its aim is to attract audiences who like dramatic aesthetics.

Jaguar MD Rawdon Glover said that the main intent of the brand was to avoid generic EV wind tunnel designs, giving priority to style over range compromises. The car boasts a long bonnet, a striking upright nose, flared arches, and massive wheels, embodying Jaguar’s vision for its future lineup.

The Type 00 show cars, in blue and pastel pink, pay tribute to Miami Art Deco hues. The concept incorporates new branding of Jaguar: the Device Mark on the grille, the Artist Mark on the hub caps, and the Makers Mark on the fenders, showcasing the fresh design elements of the brand.

At the front, the Type 00 boasts slim headlights with an air splitter, DRLs, and intakes. A strikethrough pattern runs to the dashboard from the bonnet, giving the vehicle an attractive visual look. The GT proportions have been highlighted by a large wheelbase, an elongated bonnet, and massive wheels.

While the concept is a 2-door, it is anticipated that the production model will be a 4-door GT having a similar stance. Unique highlights include a powered "prism case" hatch holding fobs for personalized themes and brass ingots with rearview cameras. Hidden tail lights have been integrated at the rear into a strikethrough pattern, complemented by a fixed glass roof and a glassless tailgate with striking patterns.

The Type 00 boasts large butterfly doors that open to a minimalist cabin that has been divided by a brass "spine" that creates two separate dashboards with slide-out, hidden screens for the passenger and driver. The floating seats have been upholstered in a stitch-free wool blend, and are mounted on the center console. A concealed sound bar and hidden storage compartments use a strikethrough pattern and bright interior lighting, elevating the sleek art deco vibe of the cabin.

The production car will utilize the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), targeting a WLTP range of 770km and 321km charging in around 15 minutes. Unlike the use of EMA by Tata Motors for Avinya cars, JEA will exclusively be available to Jaguar vehicles made in the UK, without any plans for Tata adoption.

The new electric car concept will be launched in late 2025 firstly in key markets such as the US and UK. Positioned as a high-end vehicle, the 4-door GT will elevate Jaguar’s reputation beyond "mass premium," with upcoming models targeting varied roles and broader audiences.
