The F-Type will still be offered in global markets, such as the UK, until early next year. During its production run, 87,731 units of this iconic sports car were manufactured, surpassing its legendary predecessor, the E-Type, by 15,000 units. This underscores the success and enduring appeal of the F-Type, which has established a special reputation in the realm of sports cars.
With the end of the production of F-Type, XF, and XE at Castle Bromwich, Jaguar is planning to become an SUV-focused brand. The F-Pace SUV’s production will continue at Solihull while the I-Pace and E-Pace SUV models will be assembled in Graz, Austria until next year. By focusing on SUV model production, Jaguar aims to enhance its SUV lineup and streamline operations.
Jaguar’s next electric car, an upcoming grand tourer, will be launched later this year. Utilizing the new JEA platform, it will start at around GBP 100,000 (approximately 490,000 AED). The vehicle boasts a range of about 700 km and features a dual-motor setup that delivers over 580 hp. While inspired by iconic models like the XJS and E-Type, the GT will also carve out its own distinct presence.
Following the GT, Jaguar will come up with a luxurious SUV that will give tough competition to the Bentley Bentayga. Jaguar will also introduce a large saloon to fill the gap left by the XJ EV.
