Jaguar C-X75 supercar gets road legal status with Callum’s expertise

ABU DHABI: The Jaguar C-X75 concept, known for its advanced powertrain and futuristic design is being transformed by Callum, a United Kingdom-based company founded by Ian Callum, into a street-legal supercar. The inspiration for this vehicle is one of the stunt cars from the James Bond movie Spectre which was originally built in 2015 by Williams Advanced Engineering.

The converted C-X75 will not use the original hybrid setup but it will be equipped with a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine reminiscent of the F-Type R Coupe’s powertrain.

In 2024, Jaguar C-X75’s lucky owner enlisted Callum to convert it into a road-legal car in the UK. Callum's team not only made basic modifications but also added several upgrades to the prototype making it a treasured collector's piece.

Scheduled for launch at the Bicester Heritage Scramble on April 21, the re-engineered C-X75 is one of the four Jaguar C-X75 surviving stunt cars. After the heavy modifications by Callum, the converted C-X75 has gained the status of the only vehicle in the UK legally approved for road use.

To meet the standards of UK roads and obtain Individual Vehicle Approval, engineers have modified the Jaguar C-X75 with new catalytic converters, revised engine calibration, and a refined exhaust system. Foam wing mirrors have been replaced with functional ones and updated switchgear has been installed for road legality. For a polished look the carbon fibre finish has been refurbished, panel gaps have been reduced and quick-release latches have been removed.
