Hyundai takes the wrap off Inster EV
ABU DHABI: Hyundai has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Inster. It will become Hyundai’s most economical and smallest electric SUV globally. It is based on the Casper, its ICE counterpart. The Inster EV maximizes accessibility and affordability while leveraging innovative technology for electric mobility.

The Hyundai Inster measures 3,825 mm in length,1,575 mm in height, and 1,610 mm in width.The Inster EV inherits the distinctive and youthful appearance of Casper featuring a modern-retro style. At the front, it comes with circular LED daytime running lights that encircle the headlamp cluster. The front camera, headlamps, ADAS sensor, and charging port are integrated by a black pillar-like structure. It also features pixel-themed turn indicators enhancing its overall visual appeal.
The Hyundai Inster is available in two variants: an entry-level version equipped with a 42kWh battery and 96hp front-mounted drive unit, taking around 11.7 seconds to achieve 0-100 kmph and a 300 km range. The 'long-range' model which is the higher-spec variant comes with a 49kWh battery and boosts power to 113hp, extending the range to 350 km and accelerating 0-100 kmph in 10.6 seconds. Both variants come with nickel-cobalt-manganese batteries, standard 85kW (DC) charging capabilities, and a heat pump.
The dimensions of the Inster are around 3,825 mm in length,1,575 mm in height, and 1,610 mm in width. Its wheelbase is around 2,580 mm. Its boot capacity is around 280 litres and with adjustable rear seats it can be expanded to 351 litres.
Inside, the Inster EV comes with a modern yet utilitarian cabin design. It comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, auto climate control, a digital instrument cluster, a multi-functional steering wheel, and a wireless charger.
Other key highlights include ventilated front seats, a 360-degree surround camera, ambient lighting, sunroof, and several advanced driver-assistance systems
The colour palette comprises Tomboy Khaki, Atlas White, Aero Silver Matte, Bijarim Khaki Matte, Abyss Black Pearl, Sienna Orange Metallic, Unbleached Ivory, Dusk Blue Matte, and Buttercream Yellow Pearl.
The launch of Hyundai Inster has not yet been confirmed in the UAE.
