Free parking in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for 6 days on account of Eid-Al-Adha
ABU DHABI: A good news just came to make the festivities better for the motorists in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai and the Department of Transport (DOT) in Abu Dhabi have declared that all the public car parking spaces will be free in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for six days. This is in lieu of Eid-Al-Adha. The parking will be free from 19th August 2018 to 24th August 2018.
The traffic tariffs will resume from 25th August 2018. The only downside to this news, however, is that the multi-level parking garages will not be free. It is expected and asked by the authorities that during these days, the motorists should not park their vehicles in any of the restricted areas or to mess up the flow of traffic in the city.
Those people who are totally dependent on public transportation will get the public transportation services as these services are also going run smoothly in the city with extended hours to provide convenience to the increased number of people. The Dubai Metro Station’s Red Line will start functioning from 5 AM TO 2 AM on 20th August 2018, 23rd August 2018 and 25th of August 2018 and from 10 AM to 2 AM on 24th of August 2018. The Dubai Metro Station’s Green Line will operate from 5:30 AM to 2 AM on 20th August 2018, 21st August 2018, 22nd August 2018, 23rd August 2018 and 25th August 2018 and from 10AM to 2 AM on 24th August 2018 respectively.
The festival just got a bit more festive.
