Ferrari reveals the 2020 Roma with 2+2 seating
Ferrari has revealed the front-engined 2020 Roma, which comes with 2+2 seating configuration, meaning it gets two full-size seats at the front and two smaller seats at the back.
The grand tourer is powered by a V8 turbocharged 3.9-litre engine that generates 620 PS of power between 5,750 and 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm of peak torque between 3,000 and 5,750 rpm, mated to an 8-speed DCT. It is the same DCT as on the hybrid SF90 Stradale. The power is transferred to the rear wheels.
Also, a version of the same engine can be seen on the F8 Tributo, which is a mid-engined car with performance rated at 720 PS and 770 Nm. Talking about the speeds, the Ferrari Roma is capable of sprinting to 100 kmph from zero in 3.4 seconds and 200 kmph in 9.3 seconds, while the F8 Tributo can hit the same marks in 2.9 seconds and 7.6 seconds respectively. The top speed of the Roma is said to be over 320 kmph, whereas the F8 Tributo can touch 340 kmph.
Weighing 1,472kg, the Roma measures 4,656 mm in length and 1,947 mm in width, making it almost the same size as the 812 Superfast Grand Tourer, which comes powered with a V12 engine. As far as height is concerned, it is 1,301 mm. The wheelbase of Roma is 2,670 mm and the roof is 25 mm high from the ground.
Inside, the 2020 Ferrari Roma gets a portrait-styled touchscreen infotainment system at the centre, a digital display as a part of the instrument cluster, a small touchscreen at the dash in front of the front passenger, three-spoke flat-bottomed steering with Prancing Horse logo in the centre and climate control systems.
We are yet to hear the pricing from the company. Stay tuned with Zigwheels UAE for more details on the 2020 Ferrari Roma and other auto-related news.
