2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 debuts in the US with new XRT trim
ABU DHABI: Since its launch, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been a hit. For 2025, Hyundai plans to revamp the Ioniq 5, featuring design enhancements, increased battery capacity, and improved range. A new XRT variant has also been introduced, offering a 0.9-inch suspension lift.

The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has become the first Hyundai model to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port.The driving range of the Ioniq 5 AWD has been improved to between 400 and 450 km, depending on wheel size and trim, up from 418 km. For the RWD variants, the Limited, SE, and SEL now offer over 498 km, while the SE Standard's range has increased to over 386 km, up from 354 km.
A significant upgrade for the 2025 Ioniq 5 is that it has become the first Hyundai model to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. Due to this change, the Ioniq 5 can charge without an adapter at over 17,000 Tesla Supercharger stations. While a few 2025 models will still have the older Combined Charging System port, all new Hyundai electric vehicles will make a switch by Q4 2024 to the NACS port.
The exterior gets updated bumpers and the addition of a rear windshield wiper while the interior has been revamped with upgraded 12.3-inch screens. Standard features include Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Physical buttons for key functions such as steering wheel heating, seat heating, and parking assist have been added to the centre console. The design of the steering wheel has also been updated, and all variants except the base SE are available with heated rear seats.
The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be assembled in Georgia at Hyundai's new Metaplant America. It will be available this fall at the US dealerships.
