2024 Kia Picanto revealed with design and tech updates

ABU DHABI: Kia has come up with a new Picanto that has been exclusively designed under the company's ‘Opposites United' philosophy, which involves finding synergies between opposing concepts and combining different qualities. It has been designed to appeal to first-car buyers, young adults, working professionals, and urban commuters.

The new Picanto is offered in two trims globally viz. Baseline and GT Line. The sporty GT Line exemplifies the brand objectives of Kia with its dynamic design and innovative technology. 

The upgraded Picanto has a striking exterior design, all thanks to the revised front bumper, the new light signature, the distinctive "tiger nose," bonnet, and the fender. At the rear, it gets taillights that surround the tailgate and combine with the rear bumper to give the car a wide and strong visual stance.

When it comes to engine options, customers can choose between a 1.2-litre or 1.0-litre petrol unit. 

The standard features inside the 2023 Kia Picanto include a digital display in the instrument panel and an 8.0-inch 'floating' touchscreen navigation system. The latter boasts a navigation system, along with Bluetooth multi-connection, that enables customers to use up to two mobile devices simultaneously. With this feature, customers can use media and make hand-free phone calls at the same time. The digital display and 8.0-inch touchscreen navigation system may not be available in certain nations and regions.

The upgraded Picanto is one of the safest cars, all thanks to its top-notch safety features and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Depending on the trim, the upgraded Picanto comes with new ADAS features, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 with pedestrian, cyclist, and vehicle detection.
