2024 Kia Picanto facelift images leaked ahead of its global unveiling

ABU DHABI: The images of the 2024 Kia Picanto have been leaked online by the Korean website AutoSpy.net ahead of its imminent reveal. The images show that the hatchback has been given tons of styling cues from the Kia’s Halo EV9.

For the time being, Kia has invested in a heavy facelift – rather than introducing a brand-new model. The current Picanto already has a very aggressive look thanks to its big lower grille and swept-back headlights. But the new one is one step ahead when it comes to bold attitude and aggressiveness.

At the sides, the images suggest that the 2024 Kia Picanto’s wheels are inspired by the EV9 model. These alloy wheels have a two-tone finish of chrome and black. 

The Kia Picanto’s rear end looks refreshed via an updated LED tail-light design that flows into the tailgate horizontally, along with a sportier low-slung rear diffuser and resculpted apron.

Other changes include

• New side skirts
• A restyled rear bumper
• Several body color inserts
• Vertical headlamps linked by a chrome bar

When it comes to the interior, there are not many changes. But a new instrument cluster from other Kia and Hyundai models can be seen in the leaked images. The instrument cluster combines a 4.2-inch driver display with a tachometer and digitized speed readouts.

The powertrain and safety features are expected to get minor updates. 

The 2024 Kia Picanto will be officially unveiled by the end of this month. Stay tuned with us for further updates.
