2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV unveiled with a new N line trim and bigger battery
ABU DHABI: Hyundai came up with the Ioniq 5 in February 2021 as its first EV, attaining global acclaim for its cutting-edge features, futuristic aesthetics, and outstanding efficiency. Now, Hyundai has revealed the facelift version of the Ioniq 5 and a sportier N Line version with enhanced specifications and refreshed styling.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Line comes with a distinct grille, 20-inch sporty wheels, and stylish side skirts.The Ioniq 5 facelift comes with significant design updates, including redesigned bumpers and reworked V-shape garnish, resulting in an increase in length to 4,655mm. New aerodynamic wheels and a 50mm extended rear spoiler have been outfitted to enhance the aerodynamic efficiency.
Interior enhancements include an optimised control arrangement and a relocated wireless charging pad. A physical button on the steering wheel’s interactive pixel lights and centre console improves user experience. The wireless OTA software updates and connected car Navigation Cockpit further elevate the technological offerings of the Ioniq 5.
For the long-range Ioniq 5, Hyundai has introduced a higher-capacity 84kWh battery pack that it shares with the Ioniq 5 N. The electric range increase has not been disclosed but the current 77.4kWh model delivers around 454-507km of WLTP range. Despite its increased weight and larger dimensions, the 84kWh Ioniq 5 N is still able to achieve around 448 km of range due to its upgraded battery.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Line has also been introduced with 20-inch sporty wheels with Michelin tyres and a distinct grille. Its lower front fascia gives a sporty look to the car. Black mirrors go well with the look of the window surround, while the brakes are the same as in the standard Ioniq 5.
The updated Hyundai Ioniq 5 is slated for release in global markets by the end of 2024.
