Suzuki APV Overview
This All-Purpose-Vehicle from Suzuki is one of the most budget-friendly people carriers in the UAE market. With a passenger capacity of 8 people, this vehicle is one of the very few passenger vehicles in the market having more than seven seats. On the looks front, the APV has a very bold and subtle exterior and has Suzuki’s proprietary TECT body, which is a structural design that redirects collision energy away from the occupants. It is powered by a 1.6-litre engine which generates 92 hp of power and 127 Nm of torque. This APV includes features like rear air-conditioning, power windows, adjustable seats etc.

Suzuki APV Expert Review
Abhishek Katariya says
The only commercial vehicle from Suzuki in UAE, the Suzuki APV is a 2-seater commercial van aimed at those who want a goods carrier to move from point A to point B without much fuss and splurging a large amount of money. Available with a standard petrol powertrain, the Suzuki APV is offered in just one bare-bones variant and in a single shade of white.
Suzuki APV Interior & Features
The Suzuki APV retains the aspect of simplicity and basicity of the exterior design on the inside as well. The cabin is functional to the core with a lack of many contemporary features but ergonomically placed bits in the overall cabin.
The two spoke steering wheel devoid of any kind of buttons and controls as well as an all-analog instrument console make up for a very simple driver’s cockpit. The center console feels wide and big and engulfs rectangular AC vents and small rectangular spacing for a possible audio system to be placed.
The lower portion of the dashboard’s centre console houses manual AC’s controls. The other side of the dashboard houses an opened glove box, with the APV getting many other small storage spaces making the cabin practical to the core. With the cargo cabin having a length of 2005mm, 1380mm wide and 1230mm high, the Suzuki APV shows the good potential of carrying heavy loads with ample room.
APV Exterior
When it comes to design, the Suzuki APV is not a head-turner at all, with the oddball styling making it look slightly weird from some angles. The complete lack of many basic essentials further makes it look even cheaper and not so attractive.
Unlike many other commercial vans, the Suzuki APV has a rakish windscreen with a sloping front bonnet and front fascia, which consists of a rectangular front grille and rectangular wraparound headlamps positioned at the upper corners of the grille. The lack of any modern LED lighting, as well as a non-painted front bumper, makes it look even more basic.
The side profile of Suzuki APV follows the traditional van like boxy silhouette, with a bland design for doors and large windowpane designs. The wheel arches with prominent rounded bulges do try to add some amount of flair to the side profile. Here too, the blackened door handles and lack of any proper wheel caps make the APV look too low rent.
At the rear too, there is nothing much which makes the Suzuki APV a thing to praise much, with boxy tail lamps on outer edges and simple design for the back door, which opens upwards.
Suzuki APV Ride & Handling
The Suzuki APV comes fitted with a rather basic suspension setup, which though lacks in comfort, but then it is rigid enough to withstand a heavy amount of load with ease. The APV rides on 14-inch wheels, which are adequate for the size of this vehicle.
APV Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Suzuki APV sources its power from a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as the standard transmission. The engine belts out a maximum power output of 92 PS and a peak torque output of 127 Nm, and transfers the power produced to rear wheels. The engine promises a maximum fuel economy of a claimed 12.2 kmpl, which is quite low by today’s standards.
Suzuki APV Braking & Safety
Being a utilitarian commercial vehicle, the Suzuki APV lacks many of the modern-day elements which is evident from its almost non-existent list of safety features. In the name of safety, the Suzuki APV has only the compulsory inclusions of dual front airbags and side-impact beams to protect the inner occupants at the time of any collision.
APV Verdict
The Suzuki APV might look too basic and drab when it comes to the visual appeal and a list of features onboard. However, this little commercial vehicle is in its elements when it comes to the purpose for which it has been designed in actual – carrying loads with ease, something which is initiated by a reliable powertrain and rigid suspension setup.
