The first thing to notice inside a Lexus is the equipment level and quality. The car is lavishly puffed with a number of features. The soft material plastic coated with premium leather upholstery makes it far better than any other car in the category. The console is equipped with various smart features including an display enabled screen with track pad control, and a fine quality button layout for various purposes. The music player in the upper models boasts Mark Levinson premium surround system with 17 speakers and it supports AM/FM, DVD, Bluetooth, USB and Auxiliary devices. The seats are charming to look and comfortable also. They conveniently bend and slide forward to make entry passage for the rear seats. At the boot, one can fill 295 liters of luggage which can be extended to 2322 liters with rear seats down.

Exteriors

Luxurious stance of the Lexus has been planted over the RC's each and every bit. The car moves like a stream through its body decals quite nicely while the front is built to be an impressive enough. The LED headlamps are constructed in two orders with a triangular shaped unit followed by a thin strip below the same, while the rear is sharp and has good amount of details. It measures its dimensions with 4694 mm of length, 1839 mm of width and 1395 mm of height. Its wheelbase measures 2731 mm which is shorter than that provided in Lexus IS. Across the four variants, the base variant wears 235/45 R18 tyres while other three are employed with tyres of dimensions 235/40 R19.

Engine, Mileage and Variants

This car is available in four variants and all of them are carrying same engine. It is blessed with a 3.5 liter V6 engine which generates 314 hp of power at 6400 rpm. The torque associated to the same is 376 Nm at 4800 rpm, best suited for twisty roads and power backup when you needed it the most, while boosting the performance dynamics with a hard press on the throttle. The engine is bonded with an 8-speed automatic gear box with manual shifting mode making the good to experience the engine's caliber with pedal shifts. It accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in just 6 seconds clocking a top speed of 210 kmph. The mileage count of the car stands out to be 8.9 kmpl which is fairly decent.

Safety, braking and Miscellaneous

The safety aspects in this car comes with a number of options and they live upto the mark of safety standards of the brand. The Lexus RC has a huge number of traits which work together to make the driving experience as enjoyable as a Japanese car should be. It is composed of multiple airbags to behave as a barrier against collisions and crashes. The front, side and curtain airbags allow resistance to injuries at a good level. The lane departure system warns during sudden lane changes without the indicator signal treating the case to be driver's fatigue. It is also composed with safe braking aspects including anti lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution and traction control to deal with the bad situations and unwanted surprises.

Verdict

Lexus RC has that sleek and elegant exterior body that will give you a love at first sight feel. Exorbitant price tag and high running cost might disappoint a bit though.
