The previous version of this vehicle was comparatively boring and the new designing is pretty much complementing the interior of this Daihatsu vehicle. The new diamond shaped headlamps and brand new front grille add elegance to its look. Decent dimensions measuring 3600 mm x 1655 mm x 1550 mm (L x W x H) and 2430 mm of wheelbase are given to Daihatsu Sirion. All the 4 trims have been employed with 14-inch wheels along with tires of dimensions 175/65 R14 to give stability to this vehicle on different terrains.

Engine, mileage & variants

In UAE, Daihatsu Sirion is available in 4 trims – LTR, LTR DLX, LT DLX and LT EL A/T, with different features and 2 engines of different capacities. A 1.3-litre engine is housed under the hoods of LTR and LTR DLX trims which knocks out a peak power of 86 hp at 6000 rpm along with a peak torque measuring 120 Nm at 3200 rpm. The 1.5-litre, bigger sibling of this engine, generates a maximum power of 102 hp at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 132 Nm at 4400 rpm. All the 4 trims have 4-speed automatic transmission coupled with their respective engines. The 1.3-litre humble engine accelerates from a standstill and reaches to 100 kmph in 12.5 seconds with a top speed of 165 kmph and the gutsier 1.5-litre engine takes 10.5 seconds to attain the same mark clocking a top speed of 185 kmph. The 1.5 litre engine gives a mileage of 6.2 l/100km which is appreciable.
