Volvo introduces the fully-electric EM90 MPV

ABU DHABI: Volvo has revealed the EM90, its latest fully electric premium MPV, to diversify its electric vehicle portfolio. It is based on the Sustainable Experience Architecture platform boasting Volvo's commitment to innovation and sustainability. This EV can now be pre-booked in China at a starting price of RMB 818,000 (AED 416,500.14).

Under the CLTC testing cycle, the EM90 boasts an impressive range of up to 738 km. It supports bi-directional charging and is outfitted with a 116 kWh battery. This enables the users to utilize the car as a power bank for charging other appliances or EVs. The EM90 boasts an output of 200kW and takes 8.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. When utilizing DC charging, the EM90's battery takes 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.

The Volvo EM90 features an illuminated logo and the iconic Thor's Hammer headlights. It is available in four nature-inspired exterior colors and features 19-inch or 20-inch aero wheels. Noise-reducing tires with a dual-chamber air suspension system ensure a comfortable ride.

The 6-seater cabin of the Volvo EM90 features advanced technology, including a 15.4-inch infotainment unit, a Snapdragon Cockpit with 5G connectivity, and a 15.6-inch screen for rear passengers. Premium amenities include the Bowers & Wilkins sound system, Volvo Crystal gear selector, lounge seats in the second row, ambient lighting, and dual sunroof.

The Volvo EM90 offers advanced driver assistance features, including high-definition cameras, millimetre-wave radar, surround-view cameras, and ultrasonic radars.
